Lionfish

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is a Lionfish from Fiji Islands. This capture is from the wonderful island Namenalala, where thereīs just 6 bures (bungalows) for 12 lucky tourists. The diving is amazing. This fish is very poisonous, and you can have many problems if you got an accident touching it. Too much pain! Fever! Lot of trouble...
So, take care when trying to find it. Usually, they have night life and stay at home during the day. But sometimes youīll see them nearby the rocks and corals. Itīs a slowmotion fish, but dangerours because itīs mimesis. Regards! |

So this lionfish is very poisonous. Good shot of it Jose, its features are quite nicely patterned.
I saw a Blue Bottle Jellyfish (Portuguese Man of War) when we were there in August last year. One of the islanders carried it into the beach on a large pile of sand. It was very interesting to see it.
There are many poisonous fish around and you would have to be very careful when diving. TFS...
