This is really cool Steve, you hardly ever seen images of these really cool geckos from your part of the world. This is a really cool shot showing this guy crawling through the shrubs. That is so cool to see them use their prehensile tail like the chameleon. TFS :)

quiet amazing lizard, the color is cool, the pose is everything, never saw gecko like this before and just realize there is endemic gecko in New Zealand,if seeing it from distance, I though it is chameleon pet, TFS

What an amazing pose!!! And the expression on his face is priceless. Wonderful greens and excellent details. The Gecko has been made famous here because of a popular TV advertisement. My son works for that company and I must show him this picture.

I don't know if it was meant to be, but I found this photo humorous. I like the gecko's pose. It doesn't seem as though anything he is balanced on is strong enough to hold him.

Wow, what a different looking Gecko, Steve! And I thought I was the only one who specialized in Geckos -- particularly those residing with me in my house in Riyadh :-)!
This is a fabulous capture of a unique species I have seen for the first time. The subject stand out sharply against the green vegetation.
Thanks for sharing the information on it through your note. I feel enriched.

I have to say that this is one of the most funny reptie pictures I have seen on TN :) What an acrobatic gecko! :> And so... green :)
Lovely colours, nice DOF and details, and an informative note. What do we need more? Maybe only a little better eye-contact with this reptile :)

What a psychedelic character in an acrobatic pose. Well positioned in the frame. The head is a bit problematic in that the green is overblown in a large patch - the curse of digital photography. The cure, I'm told is SLR (I don't have one yet) and/or shooting in RAW (I'm not there yet). Minor criticism re a very good image.
