[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These ferns are not strictly epiphytic ferns, but can all be found growing from trees,as this shot plainly shows.
The tree they are growing on is the Mahoe (Melicytus ramiflora) which belongs to the same family as Vioolets and Pansys (Violaceae).
It is commonly known as Whiteywood as it has very light yellow/cream wood which can become quite white if left exposed to the sun. Older trees can become quite gnarly twisted masses of multiple trunks as you can see in a previous shot Here
The ferns here are an assortment of Microsorum (Phymatosorus),Blechnum and Asplenium ferns.

As you can imagine,wandering through mossy forest with branches draped in ferns like these is a wonderful experience.
