Hi Steve,
Splendid close-up shot of this strange spined-spider on the Helenium flower from an unsual POV. Excellent focus , sharpness and details are wonderful.
TFS and cheers,
Bayram
A curious looking Spider from your archives, Steve. I have never seen such spiders before. This one matches well with the flower, so it is some kind of camouflage at work here.
If we manage to get the eyes of a spider in clear focus, the picture turns much more interesting. Unfortunately, your specimen was facing the other way.
An educative experience for me.
Thanks, mate.

Hello again Steve,
I am now able to look at this with the knowledge of what the head looks like and fine that this species has a camouflaging ability shared by some European spiders, ie it can change colour to suit its surroundings, though it takes a bit of time. As Ram says it is camouflged to match this flower. In the previous one there is a dominance of green to match the leaf.
TFS this fine contribution,
Cheers,
Ivan

Hi Steve
What a strange creature you've presented this time :)
I like the composition and exposition. Colours are very good, well saturated and natural.
I'm wondering why I can see your picture little bit "grainy" (I don't know if it is proper word).
And thanks for links to other your pictures - now I have idea how this spider looks from other sides.
Thanks for sharing

Hello Steve,
There are very nice colors in your photo. There is a good match between spider's and flower's colors. Both spider and flower are sharply seen. This feeling is enhaced by the OOF background.
Thank you for sharing,
Cristian

Hallo Steve
If one consider a spider beautiful then this is indeed a beauty. I just love the way it draped itself over the plant, and blend in with the colours of the flower. The pose in which you have captured it is really great. Focus, sharpness and framing is done expertly. Clarity of the markings on the body is stunning. Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards.
Anna
