[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The New Zealand Falcon or maori: Kārearea, [Falco novaeseelandiae], is New Zealand's only endemic falcon and the only remaining bird of prey endemic to New Zealand.
I took this photograph with a standard zoom lens. I was lucky as I could get as close as about 8m to the bird while crowling slowly on the bushy ground. Usually you would need at least a 300mm lens as the bird doesn't really like us sniffing arround to close.
Picture taken at Mt. Somers, Canterbury, South Island New Zealand |

Thorsten,
What an unusual POV you have for the raptor. Good composition, sgharpness, detail and clear BG once again.

a bit sharpeneing in photoshop would be welcome, I suppose you lost a bit of sharpness by downsizing

Bonjour Thorsten,
Agréable valorisation du sujet dans son environnement mais le cadrage me semble un peu trop large pour apprécier pleinement la finesse des détails.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.
Gérard
