Welcome Swallow (Hirundo tahitica ) Other names House Swallow and Pacific Swallow. They have only recently colonised New Zealand. They first bred in 1958 and have since expanded to be almost common in most parts of the open countryside. This photograph was taken in a vineyard in Hawke’s Bay. |
