[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
To watch a royal Spoonbill feeding, is a thing of beauty. They sweep their bill through the water in a back and forth motion. Occasionally lifting their bills out of the water, lifting it into the air, letting whatever is in it, slide down into their mouths, and then its back to the bussness of sweeping back and forth.

On this particular day Steve (Lord Potty) and I were down at the lagoon together and we were both able to get some lovely shots and to marvel at the privildge of seeing this amazing bird in action. I have to say I really love and appreciate the company and friendship of our local photographers. There is nothing like having company while taking shots of nature. Trek nature is also a great way of sharing those special moments we have behind the lens with a wider friendship group and I am enjoying this as well. I hope you enjoy my shot tonight.

Happy Snapping

Hi Nicki,

Good detail in the white of this bird showing that the correct exposure was used. Nice pose with the legs and bill spaced in the water. The reflection adds movement to the image.

He looks like a ball of cottonwool Nicki. And so does the reflection.
Great shot showing us the Royal Spoonbill feeding like this. And you have caught the catch-light in his eye too.
The blue sky reflecting on the water makes a really pretty picture,
