[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi everyone, well its been a tough couple of days for me, so I hope you dont mind if I dont add heaps of notes tonight. I realised I hadnt put anything on here in ages and tonight I managed to get some great shots of spotted shags who are getting their breeding plumage. One of the things that struck me was the beautiful pattern around the eye and so I decided to make one of my shots a profile shot of the head so you can see the eyes. Hope you like it and hope to be back soon with some more photos.

What beautiful eye make-up he has... I don't think I have ever seen one with these colours, Nikki. Or is it because it looks quite grey. Is this an adult with the new breeding colours then? I thought I have seen spotted shags before but they were black and white - as you can see - I'm a bit ignorant about them. The back does look a bit black,
Cheers
Janice

Hi Nicki,

The detail of this bird's eye is phenomenal! The image is so attractive against the blue sky. Since we're almost into winter, you're just getting into spring down there. Some day, I'd like to see your spring -- and your creatures of spring. I enjoyed seeing your shag photo very much. TFS.

John
