[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In a part of the world that has some of the heaviest rainfall, some of our fungi seem to look as though they really belong where they grow,as of course they do.
The slime on the cap of this attractive mushroom is naturally exuded by the fungi, but it looks as though it is covered in rain or dew.
I'm not sure of the species.
The attractive cap is similar to that of Pluteus velutinornatus, but I'm thinking that this is more likely a species of Cortinarius.
The tiny little Galerina sitting on top of the big mushroom ended up there by accident as I was tidying the area of leaves and twigs.
I looked so good lying there I just left it.

I hope you like the shot.
Thanks for looking.
Cheers
Steve

Hi Steve,

Excellent capture of this interesting mushroom.
Nice colours with fantastic details.
Lighting and composition are splendid.
Good notes.

Hello Esteve,

It looks like those scenes from fairy tales, with characters who live in houses shaped like a mushroom! See also the other small mushrooms to one side and on top of the umbrella! ... A show of moisture, structure and texture. As always, your photos in this kind of environment, convey much of the fungus, and the environment.

It's always a pleasure to appreciate your work Esteve

Regards,

Jesús

Hi Steve,
Beautiful micro-world shot, great composition with fungal environment - the small Galerinas are quite pretty, even the one on the cap of Pluteus. Really nice and original kind of shot. Congrats and tfs.
Have a nice weekend, László

Hi Lord,
real lovely, very slimy still with off springs. Well taken with excellent depiction of its natural surroundings. i think I like this camera very much. Very comfortable to work with. what do you think?
Well presented in goos scene of other vegetations too.

Steve I forgot to mention when I was looking at you email the small brown fungi on the cap is likely Galerina decipiens or similar.
