This is really just a bit of fun I was having with one of those lame collage making programs that makes really dumb collages.
I fed it a whole pile of old stick insect pics and it jumbled them up thus.
I thought it was kind of interesting, and thought perhaps someone else might too.
I'm buggered if I know what all these stick insects are called, but I think one might be Basil ;)

There is a bit more information on NZ stick insects in my previous NZ stick insect posts if anyone is really interested.

Thanks for looking.
Cheers
Steve

Ciao Steven, great collage with interesting macro of strange bug, splendid light and colors, very well done, ciao Silvio

Normally I would have thought the computer a second to mans mind....but perhaps there are exceptions...I kind of like the way it was done...please write me at [email protected] and let me know what program this was..I like to goof around as well.

Though none of these 'stick' out this collage is a pleasant cocktail of greenery with various aspects of what looks like two different stick insects. A good idea when I think about it, as presenting a single long and quite sizeable NZ stick insect entirely on one image must be pretty difficult.
This is a nice solution Steve.
Cheers,
Ivan

woww... what a great camouflage Steve. An insect which i did not see before. Great collage MF!
TFS and cheers,

Hi mate!
What a fantastic collage of shots!
Very good sharpness in every photo.
I like all the greeniness :-)

Well done, Steve!

Joe

hello steve,
fine complilation of pictures of the stick insects, the greenery of the pictures looks so refreshing as we are facing a hot summer time here,
tfs & regards
pankaj

Steve, these interesting Stick Bugs are perfect examples of camouflaging for the purposes of both survival and ambush.
Though one particular insect features in most of the small frames, it is still an attractive collage.
The green of the entire thing is very soothing for the eyes.
Regards.
Ram

Cool images showing the incredible camouflage abilities they display. New Zealand is so beautiful, I always enjoy your view of it Steve. Keep posting.
Paul :)
