Hi Erich

Where did you find these babes who I might add are keeping perfect time! Good family portrait. I thought it was too early for babies. Hmmm..... I will have to head up to Shakespear Regional Park to see what I can find. Nice capture, good POV, nice light. Thanks.

The duck is sharp, pity that the DOF isn't enough for the ducklings but it not easy with a long zoom.

Hi Erich, I think you must have "cut and pasted" them all to like that!! :) Just beautiful timing, a great action shot, I can even see bits of sand on them too.
They've hatched early in the season, so watch out you Northern Hemisphere folk, you're in for an invasion of baby ducklings and swans soon.!

Hi Erich,
great shot, you have a good eye and a quick index finger to see + capture the right moment (again ...)!. Also wonderful warm colours, and the composition well brings out the "story" behind, with the head of the mother positioned up high and the youngsters spread out down low. The half-transparent frame works well to keep the colour theme and keeps your 5 subjects together. It is a tad soft, maybe a higher fstop, though then motion-blurr would probably have become a problem. Looking at the DOF area (sandgrains in focus), you seem to have compromised very well between the two.

I love it. It does look like they are all in step and the expressions on their faces . Mum msut be a tough one ;)
