A fine capture of this NZ species of fungus taken with excellent sharpness, use of flash and good contrast with the rotting wood substrate.
A remarkable species well portrayed!
Thanks and cheers,

Ciao Chris, great macro of beautiful strange fungi, I never see before, thanks, wonderful natural colors and splendid sharpness, very well done my friend, ciao Silvio
I saw this photo today and I think this is a very strange mushroom! The shot is very good and I think that is true to the conditions where such organizmos inhabit. Laszlo believe that going to find this photo, very nice!.
This picture has reminded me of a fungus that I photographed a few months ago in a rainforest in our north-central mountains. Actually I'm not very good taking pictures of mushrooms, but I decided to give it to you IN WORKSHOP FOR CHRIS FRIEND, as recognition of your good work and excellent contributions TN.
Hope you like, and also hope that Laszlo can see it, perhaps some of you know the ID! ... :)
Greetings and my repeated thanks for the support and collaboration.

It is much bigger than it looks at fist sight.
I would love to have the opportunity of documenting one of these, they are on my wish list.
Thanks very much for sharing.

Thank You very much for Your nice dedication MF. Photographically simple yet nice image, great exposure and usage of flash. I also see this species for the 1st time in my life, and I'm sure this is its debut on TN. Bravo Chris.
About Jesús' WS: the fungus he photographed most probably belongs to Colus or Pseudocolus genera from the same Phallaceae family as Ileodictyon genus does, very suggestive also.
Friendly regards, László
