Namastay Steve,
Today I harvested my first ever mushroom bed (paddy-straw mushroom (Volvariella vovvacea) ) at my house. It was wonderful site to view my hard work and god's help. A very nice capture of these wild mushrooms. Excellent composition with sharp details. Thanks a lot for sharing.
Sincerely
Hara

Hello Steve,
It seems that New Zealand is a paradise for fungi! So many interesting and strange species, with unique colours. This one is very well taken, with nice structure, colours and details. TFS. Cheers,

Hello Lord.
such a stunning cluster of these fungi. the sharpness is great and the colours are special and unique. you have retained the surroundings very well, giving a good information value.
Details of the cap is well shown too.
Nicely presented with good lens level to give the best effect.
Regards,
Foozi

Hallo Steve
The colour of this fungi is rather interesting. It reminds me of something in the dark old ages, or a scene from a movie like Jumanji, all scary, not knowing what is going to happen next. O boy, I better stop watching movies that makes me talk all kind of rubbish and concentrate on your lovely image. This is a beautiful image. Not only the fungi but the back and foreground as well. The detail of the fungi itself is beautifully seen, especially the texture on the hood. A lovely presentation from your lens. The natural sunlight in the image is just great. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

If I didn't know this hpto si yours, I would imagine it was taken here :)
You are right, I liked very muck to discover that this beautiful specie, can be found in the other side of the world. I don't know if you have ever found them emerging after rainy days, the violet is just awsome.
Very natural shot, the light is well managed and you got a quite artistic composition with this difficult place and setup.
Thanks very much, MF.

This is a really cool cluster of shroons and well takened. You know every time I see a mushroom I'm thinking Steve plus a few others here on Treknature and I would have to say you people really know what you are doing when you look for these interesting subjects to photograph. I find it difficult to spot them, and anytime I do find one they are not quite as interesting as the ones you've posted. Teach me something about how to look for them, you are a master of Kung-Fungi. :)
I hate to say this but Cortinarius violaceus does not exsist in NZ the likely species with out doing the microscope work is C. subcalyptrosporus. Its very difficult to tell this species from C. atrolazulinus even when using a microscope.
