[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Just this autumn (March to June) I've been finding these unusual waxgills with green stems and mauve tops.
They almost seem to be like a cross between Hygrocybe stevensoniae and Hygrocybe versicolor
It has been suggested to me that this might be a form of H.versicolor but without examining the spores microscopically we cannot know for certain.
It certainly is an attractive little mushroom though, and one of my favourites, if not my favourite.

I lit this once again using my PETZL LED headlamp at a small distance, with a diffuser over the light.

Cheers & thanks for looking.

Steve

Hello Steve,
what a beautiful fungus. Very special composition that show its delicate and fragility. The shines and transluscence is so outstanding. How i like the mosses too.
Lovely capture and a very skilfull presentation.
I got SX10 IS too....so I know this is still far for me.
Congratulations.

Regards,
Foozi

It looks like "jelly candy" to me :)
A very beautiful specie, I like it very much.
You photo is great, amazing details and the pale colours are lovely captured. We can see the green light reflection of the moss in the stem, which I suppose is translucent.
Just how I like them, big and detailed.
Congratulations, Felipe.

Hello Steve,
Good heavens, what I can say ...? is a fungus made of glass, ... really awesome, this photo shows perfectly! ... Miraculous vision! Congratualations and thanks!

Good Morning Steve,

Another fantastic close-up of this really mysterious mushroom, you've presented it really well. Good use of the DOF, helps to keep full focus on the mushroom in the middle of the frame. This beauty almost looks like it's made of jelly:)
TFS and have a nice day and WE MF!
Cheers,

Bayram

Hi Steve,

Hi Steve,
A great photo, the Petze led lamp seems to work well, a good idea ! I will try it too under poor light conditions

A beautiful shot of this delicate species of mushroom Steve.
I like the pastel colours and the composition with the moss of its natural BG with the the stem showing well against the darker part of the moss and the light edge of the hat makes the shot almost 3-D,
Great work that is a pleasure to view.
Thanks and have a good week,
Ivan

Hello Steve,

what a great fungishot and this one I never been seen, a beaty from a fungi.
Exellent sharpness, good low pov with fine colours.

Gert

Really nice Steve, like the natural framing and color.
Especially like the green stem and contrasting "mauve" top.
Well done! :)

This one is really cool! It really looks as though it was made of glass or gelatin. I can see why you see this as a favorite. Your LED turned it into a fiber-optic mushroom.

Dear Steve
I have not visited your gallery for a long time since I was in field trip and other academic facilities. I am very glad to re-discover your gallery and mushroom shots. This is great fungi shot in your master quality. focus and light using great. also green mosses give a richness to composition. thanks for sharing.
best regards
Ahmet
