|Early in the morning during very cold days is easy to see this fox close to the summit or close to the refuges, just looking for some food. Unfortunatelly, this cute guy is very used to people, so it stays there, just waiting for some food or posing for the picture. |
I guess this is a Lycalopex griseus, known as "zorro gris" or "zorro patagónico".
The place is Krund mountain summit, facing south face to Tierra Mayor valley.

I must admit I have never heard of this species of canine before. It reminds me of a cross between a fox and a coyote. You captured him perfectly in this image with a majestic mountain range as a beautiful BG. Great job!!
