Magnifique, comme c'est impressionnant, superbe prise de vue.
et beaux détails.
My old friend, you have once again showed that expensive equipment does not necessarily make the photographer. Your home made "MacGyver” recipe produces some extraordinary results which many of us fortunate owners of macro equipment cannot imitate or beat you. To think that these little insects are only 2mm in length and then to look at this presentation really just makes ones respect and admiration jump another couple of light-years. Great stuff.
The plane of the DOF is so clearly visible and the precious little eggs lies smack in the middle of it thus ensuring excellent details. The composition and POV is great, the colours are splendid and well defined, the BG is complimentary, and the exposure is spot-on.
I must be blatantly honest and admit that lately I have been neglecting your portfolio somewhat, but so too I have had rather limited exposure to TN as a whole due to the problem with my legs. However, I just want you to know that my scarcity is purely based on these facts and not due to any loss of interest. Btw, I noticed you have upgraded to a Canon PowerShot. Although that might have happened some time ago I suppose a congratulation is never too late.
Keep up the good work and take care MF.
Great work and TFS.

I was amazed to see this, considering the size of the subject! Great focus, beautifully presented against a natural b/g.

Well done in capturing this cluster of parasitic Ichneumeon wasps' pupae. You have also captured two of the emergent wasps very well with your own macro equipment.
Good lighting and composition.
The pupae have most likely come from a caterpillar of some moth or butterfly. The larvae have been able to keep the caterpillar alive until they are fully developed inside it. They then emerge to pupate and all that is left of the caterpillar is a little bit of skin under this pile of pupae!
This is a very fine contribution to TN and I thank you for sharing it.

Y seguramente sorpresa para los huevecillos si llegan a eclosionar con esos parásitos cerca...
Un cordial saludo y gracias por compartir una imagen con tanto detalle y nitidez. Juan Luis
Interesting macro of these ultra small eggs Hernan. Well composed with good detail, and the added interest of the ants that give scale.

Very nice point of view and the colors have just turned up balanced, though at the limit of being overexposed. The eggs look very sharp, interesting and your homemafe macro gives a perfect result, once again.

Splendid shot of these eggs with impressive sharpness and lovely colours. The lighting is perfect as is the focus. Great POV and the BG highlights the subjects well. Very nicely composed. Kudos.
