Hi Hernan

What an amazing wasp. Once again we see something strange and out of the ordinary from nature and fortunately captured through your wonderful homemade macro lens. I sure hope Radomir or Ivan or one of the other well informed members in the field of entomology might be able to assist you with the ID.

The frontal area of the wasp (head & thorax) show great details and then the DOF range fades away nicely to leave the abdomen slightly OOF. The area that matters (in this case) is sharp and the rest is up to the imagination. The colours are bright and the BG is well OOF which ultimately enhances the subject.

Well done and TFS.

Hello Hernan,

Good capture of this wasp. I had a look on the site bugguide.net, I could find something similar, it might be a Tiphiid wasp (tiphiidae), Myzinum sp., but I have to look further.
Good sharpness and composition. Nice colours too.

Hello Hernan!
What a strange wasp! So elongated! I have never seen anything similar! The true is that I can not classify it even to family :( but please be sure that I will chec this picture later - maybe someone would be able to identify it :)
Very interesting and origanal creature! And many thanks for showing it!
Greeting from Poland my Friend!

A very nice capture with amazing details my friend. I like a lot the composition which can be summerised in one word: THIN.
