Emperor Butterfly sapphire or turquoise (Doxocopa laurentia), also called Sapphire Talar. It's a daytime family Nimphalidae butterfly, with a wingspan of about 7.5 cm, and its most prominent feature is a blue metallic band having males and walking in the middle top of the wings. Females have a white band but, beginning in an orange stain on the front of the forewings. Their caterpillars feed almost exclusively on the leaves of a tree called tala (Celtis tala and Celtis spinosa), which used as host plant during the larval stage. It can be found in some areas of northern Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Brazil
