Simple but very lovely. Perfect focus and lovely details. I especially like all the details in the petals. Good DOF and excellent POV. I like the dark BG, it really sets of the lovely pink in the flower

Hi Ricardo,
This is a very beautiful specie and I like those notes about it. Details are good but I wonder why did you use the 1/1000 shutter speed? Were you trying to catch an insect? :) A smaller aperture would have increased the details in the center of the flower I guess. Were nice post anyway with great POV and nice BG. Thanks MF,

Sigo ampliando my vocabulario anglosajon, ni se me hubiera ocurrido jamás que "quince" significara membrillo en ingles :D
Los colores suaves pero intensos al mismo tiempo y el contraste contra el fondo oscuro aporta un gran impacto visual a tu foto. Creo que la profundidad de campo se quedó un poco escasa con el F:5, pero tu punto de vista que deja los pétalos más cercanos casi perpendiculares lo disimula perfectamente. El marco es sutil pero aporta más de lo que parece a primera vista.

La verdad es que esta foto no tiene desperdicio en ningún sentido es una maravilla, tiene un colorido precioso y una nitidez a la par al igual que la profundidad de campo que conseguiste en la parte trasera, el pequeño desenfoque en la delantara ayuda a centrar la vista en los estambres y pistilos.
Mis felicitaciones.

PD. Con respecto al comentario de mi pato te diré, que son fotos realizadas para una guía de aves que estoy realizando en formado Cdrom, por eso esta más centrada en el ave que en la compo. Pero se agradecen tus opiniones y se toma nota de ellas. En algunas fotos de composición hay estelas. Un poco más adelante las mostraré.

I fancy this lovely Chinese quince because of its beauty and also because I’ve never seen it before. So thanks for introducing it to me. It looks like a rather delicate little flower.

The dark BG makes this flower stand out from the frame and on my monitor it almost has a 3D effect. The colours are fresh and lovely. The details are fine and the exposure was well controlled. Excellent composition and POV as well.
