Often wags its tail. Adult male:Bright red cap, throat and unerparts Black eyeline, nape, back, wings, and tail Immature male similar to female but has variable amount of red on underparts Female and immature: Brown upperparts White underparts with faint streaks on breast Undertail coverts tinged pink
The adult male Vermilion Flycatcher is very distinctive. The female and immatures are more nondescript but the streaking on the breast and pink tinge to the undertail coverts distinguish them from other flycatchers

Nice shot, Silvia!
You have beautiful bird with his lunch in natural environment well composed. Maybe little bit darker BG will make this bird even more in focus.

Hello Silvia,
Good capture of a striking bird! Although not quite sharp, the color contrast with the BG helps to emphasise the bird and it is sharp enough to see that it has caught what looks like a large fly!

Que hermosos los colores del pájaro que capturaste!.
Me gusta mucho el punto de vista que empleaste, la iluminación, exposición y la profundidad de campo también estuvo muy acertada.
El contraste del rojo con los verdes del fondo funciona muy bien.
Finalmente la composición me parece muy buena y equilibrada.

Excelente captura...la tuya y la del churrinche. Si bien no te mira, muestra muy bien de que se alimenta. Muy buena foto por la estética y por mostrar los hábitos de vida del ave.

What a beautiful bird. Stunning plumage colours. You have done an excellent job here. You have isolated the bird well from the busy background and managed a catchlight in the eye and also capture it with food in its beak. Stunning work. Congrats!
