I think another NEW BIRD FOR TN, the Cliff Flycatcher.

The Cliff Flycatcher (Hirundinea ferruginea) is a species of bird in the Tyrannidae family. The Cliff Flycatcher is the only species in the genus Hirundinea after the Swallow Flycatcher was merged herein as subspecies Hirundinea ferruginea bellicosa.
It is found in Colombia, Venezuela, The Guianas of Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana, and Ecuador and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, and heavily degraded former forest.

Range
The Cliff Flycatcher is only found east of the Andes cordillera, and therefore is not found in Chile. All other South American countries are represented. In the Amazon Basin, it surrounds the basin in the foothills, and highest elevations at tributaries' headwaters; it ranges down to central Argentina west of the Pampas, and east of the Pampas to southern Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay; also southeast of the Amazon Basin in the Brazilian Highlands, to the Atlantic and south Atlantic coast of Brazil, about an 8000 km stretch of coastline.

The Cliff Flycatcher is about 18,5 cm.
Found in sedentary pairs or small family groups, usually perching in the open on rock faces or buildings; often seems oblivious to the roar of traffic or proximity of people. Migrants can occur in atypical situations.
Sometimes keeps up a near constant chatter of high-pitches calls, including a “wheeeyp!” and “whee, dee-dee-ee-ee-ee” or “wheeuw-d’d’d’d’r!” and also a continued “wha-deép, wha-deép...”.

When we were in the Kruger a few weeks ago, I saw this ritual of dust bathing quite a number of times and it was very interesting to see how the bathing varies among the different birds.

Flycatchers are truly beautiful birds and this Cliff Flycatcher of yours are no exception. Love the colour of its eye and the combination of colours in its plumage. Best regards and thanks for sharing.

Congratulations on another first for TN !!
You managed to photograph this fellow in an attractive pose. Looks like it is resting or else it is about to take off in flight. I really like it's rusty brown and black markings as well the hint of blue in it's eye. Great capture!!
