I found this wonderful butterfly with transparent wings. I don´t know its name, so if you knows it I will be glad to learn with you.
I just had my little sony with me at that moment, and we hadn´t to many light, so the picture is not great, but I am sure that you will like to see the butterfly.
I´ve tryed to do a workshop blurring the background, but... I will keep this one, original shot. What do you think?
Regards,
Zeca

good focus and nice colors that show off the transparent wings. i'd increase contrast a bit since the transparent parts seem overly bright.

Hi Zeca,
I certainly think it is lovely. I have never even seen a picture of one of these butterfly's with transparent wings. It is amazing. Nice image.
Cheers,
Debbie

Hola Jose,
a beautiful capture of this interesting butterfly. It is a species of the family Riodinidae. I will try to identify it later (no time now).
Best wishes, Peter

Hello Jose,

Adding to the comment by Peter Roos (batu): this is a Chorinea sp. (Riodinidae, Riodininae, Riodinini), most probably Ch. octavius, although other species are quite similar. Wonderful cteature!

Best regards,
Dmitry

Hola Jose Augusto
Genial!
Parabéns!
Saludos
Maite
