Juan, very good photo! Great colors! Just one suggestion... you could use a smaller aperture (ie f/2.8 or f/4) so to narrow down the DoF (Depth of Field) and eliminate the background. This way the wonderful butterfly would be the point-of-interest without any distraction from the background. ;-)

Beautiful butterfly.
I agree with Panos about distruction from background.I made WS.

Beautiful butterfly Juan.
I don't mind seeing the background myself.
I like to see a lot of stuff happening at once.
My psychologist says I'll be better soon.
Thanks for posting.

Beautiful photo of the butterfly. The colors on the wings are gorgeous and show up well against the vegetation. Very sharp details. A bit too centered as far as composition goes. It looks like the "common buckeye" that we have in our part of the world, except for the blue part. So I am not sure if it is the same thing.

Great image Juan. The color and sharpness is excellent.

Very well done and thanks for posting

Hi Juan,
This is probably a Mangrove Buckeye, Junonia evarete (Nymphalidae). Its larvae feed on black mangroves (Avicennia).

Best regards,
