[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I really don't know accurately what this insect is..maybe this beauty seems to be a "hemoptero" seen its exoskeleton, even more, exist in its back a lump that caused me extreme curiosity, therefore I seem a full hunchback of thorns and of slightly different color of the remain of the body, even more sharpened my curiosity, therefore the legs are of an alive orange that enhances the size of the insect, (more or less 3,5 centimeters).. if there's somebody ho knows better more information on this insect I'll be thankful :)

Eu realmente não sei exatamente o que é este belo inseto..para mim parece um hemoptero visto o exoesqueleto, porem existe em suas costas uma protuberância que me causou curiosidade extrema, pois parece uma corcova cheia de espinhos e de cor ligeiramente diferente do restante do corpo, que alias tb aguçou minha curiosidade, pois as patas são de um laranja vivo que realça o tamanho do inseto, (mais ou menos 3,5 centímetros).. se alguem souber mais informações sobre este inseto eu agradeço :)

Very interesting looking insect. It might well be some kind of Hemoptera. I hope that some specialist can help. i like the way you caught the attitude of the bug.

Hello Tabajara,

Very nice picture of this bug. It is a wheel bug (Arilus cristata, family Reduviidae, order Hemiptera). Good sharpness and great colours.

The group Reduviidae is now recognized as a family of Heteroptera (formerly sub Hemiptera) is my note. The details are very interesting. To me spider mimicks among the family is fairly common, although i havent seen amy citation on that.

Muy bueno el acercamiento a esa chinche. Coincido con Mariki, creo que es de la familia Reduviidae, más conocidas como chinches asesinas. Buenos detalles y aumento, tal vez la luz no sea la mejor, pero no se si las condiciones podían ser otras.

It's a really beautiful picture of this great looking insect! If you don't mind I would like to correct you on the species name tho, it's an Arilus carinatus. The A. cristata only lives in North America and the orange color on the legs are not this prominent.
