I found this butterfly on the floor of a track, in front of the entrance of a camp in Barra do Sana, mountains of Rio de Janeiro. I took some photos and then a friend came to me draw your attention: "Look, Mari! Has a 80 in her wing." Since then, I try to find someone who knows the name of the species and I has already found many photos of the same, but with 80 reversed, with more blue in the wing, etc ...

Hello Mariana,
Welcome to TrekNature as a new member!
With this very pretty butterfly with the figure 80 on its wings, you have made an impressive debut on TN.
Though the background for the butterfly is rather drab, you could not help it.
However, the subject is in sharp focus and the black and red colours on the butterfly's wings are very attractive.

Very interesting patterns on the wing! Outstanding focus on buterfly with excellent detail. Very nice colors as well with good contrast between black and white. I have never seen a butterfly like this before. Sorry I cannot help with ID.

Never seen this butterfly before- great mozaic lines on wings, look's like number 80;), good POV and DOF.
