It is the Cyrano de Bergerac of birds Peter...It's beak/nose appear as if they were tossed together with silly putty....This reminds me of many a fairy tale...Beauty and the Beast comes to mind...Very nicely done from archives and story in notes well told!

Ale cudak, niesamowicie wygląda z tym czerwonym garbatym dziobem.
Ale trochę źle mu patrzy z oczu. Chyba cię ptak nie polubił.

Hi Peter,

I'm glad you pulled this out of your archives since it's a new one for me. Never heard of this strange looking bird and certainly never saw one. The unusual red beak, the brilliant eye and the blue/black feathers are wonderful. A great introduction to an exotic bird.

A unique species of birds from South America, Peter. I have seen it for the first time.
It is a thoughtfully composed and attractive image from your archives.
Thanks and all the best.

A real beauty of a shot Peter,
Love the bluish iridescent colors in it's plumage!! It's large bill for some reason just seems to be out of place, but I suppose to another Curassow it is just fine where it is.

Hello Peter !
This is a bird I had never seen before, it's really strange, I like the shape of his red beak. YOu managed to capture excellent details on the face and the plumage, and you made a great use of your flash. Composition is pleasant, but a pity that you have cut the tip of its finger - but well, I know it is sometimes impossible to get the whole animal on picture. The pose of the bird, too, is great. Very well done !

Hi Peter,

Awesome capture of this wonderful bird. The colours are awesome and you have a very fine and sharp image. Very well done.
