|I was in the Pantanal a couple of weeks ago and this blue and gold macaw (Ara ararauna) was perched in a tree|
not more than 5 m from me, having a snack. When I checked out the species, I noticed that the breast feathers of this bird are not "gold" or yellow, but orange! Now, maybe this is a local variety, or maybe this is another species. In any case, the colors shown here are exactly they way they are.
