[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [Portuguese]
This butterfly has the ventral surface of the wings with a darkness collor plus red spots along the borders of the second pairs of wings at the same surface. But the dorsal wings surface are dark blue with spotted light blue plus a stripped white at each side, giving a beautifull effect. For about one month lots of butterflies and another insects were going over a tree to feed on the fluid that flowed out to the surface. Therefore, I could to take lots of photos easily, so near as possible. Its wingspan has about 8 centimetres Every photo was taken wit a Canon EOS Rebel Xti, Sigma lens 150mm, f/2.8. Camera in hands and without flash.

Hello Marlon,
an excellent picture of the underside wing pattern of that species.
Light exposure is perfect as detailed structures are seen also at the dark wing surface.
Point of view and background design are optimal.
Best wishes, Peter

Hi Marlon, Welcome to TN,

Well what a way to start with this beautiful entry,
Good detail throughout and perfect sharpness, i particularly like the low key out of focus background,
Perhaps the support is a little overexposed and distracting, but nevertheless a superb shot,
Best Regards,

Hello Marlon,

Wonderful image of this butterfly. I especially enjoy the contrast of it's colors with the snowy-like tree lichen. Great focus & sharpness & clever greenish-blue background. Very well done!
