Says the dictionaries:
"Arapuã - (Tupi) - Bee that makes the round nest" (Tupi = indigenous language of Brazil)
Some Brazilian members already put picture of them, see for instance: Arapuã- click here
Actually she doesn't possess sting, as she has the body usually covered of resin (probably extracted of the tree pinus) she ends if coiling in the hair (mainly the long ones!) and when trying to liberate it ends up producing a buzzing and scaring and inconveniencing the people!!!
Your visit is important and comments also! Thank you.

The covered body for resin has the effect of reflecting the light of the flash and that causes undesirable shines.

Hi Jose,
An excellent macro shot. The exposure is spot on. The colors are superb, and detail is very sharp. A really superb shot!

Good sharp photo, displaying good detail. A well composed pic. TFS, Sheriff.

Wagner.

interesting detail, I don't feel it is as tack sharp as it could be. Still great - points later

Boa nota!
Ana:)
