I'll not tell you whether this is Phoebis pilea or not. Butterflies of Brazil are many and I don't know them.
Instead, I'll tell you how much I appreciate the way you aproached the subject for this photo. Looks to me that you did a close-up using a wide angle lenses, which is not so often encountered, but offer very good results. Therfore the POV and DOF are very strong and dramatic. Also the fill flash is perfectly completing (and complementing) the natural daylight.
It is a professional way you worked this one. The result: a perfect photo.

WOW & WOW. This is a super stunning and immaculate photo with mega impact brought about by the colourful display of the butterfly and flower. I can only echo what Petru so skilfully described. A professional approach with a perfect result.
Brilliant composition & POV, amazing colours, remarkable DOF and details, and extraordinary exposure. Right down to the frame you have revealed your masterpiece.
Very well done and TFS.
PS. This one is worth 2 smileys....
excellent details, colours of tropical splendour.
Well chosen point of view that delivers a very dynamic result. The large depth of field provided excellent details all over the butterfly in its inclined position, and it also gives surprisingly good information of the landscape around.
Image looks very good with its integration of foreground and well detailed background.
That large depth of field really looks interesting and good to me - I wonder how it has been possible with f/5.6 - any information of the actual focal length setting of the zoom optics of your camera would be welcome.
Thank you! Best regards,

You have achieved a really interesting effect here. Two boldly coloured subjects that go well together.
The POV is very unusual but has great effect.
Great sharpness too and the colours are well saturated.
Overal a stunning shot, well done.

parece a mesma borboleta que comentei agora a pouco, porém, a proximidade entre o amarelo dela com o rosa da flor ficaram demais.
