Another capture from inside the "Buraco do Padre" (Priest's hole), now showing the waterfall and the entrance to the subterranean amphitheater.
"Buraco do Padre" is a 360 degrees hole in the rock formation. You can see the passage entrance on the ground, where the river goes on its way down ahead. I´ll copy some information from the note I´ve posted with the first picture a couple of days ago:
"This place is situated in the region of "Campos Gerais", second plateau of Paraná State, around 1&1/2 hours by car from Curitiba, in Itaiacoca, Ponta Grossa.
It´s a perfect hole in the middle of a huge rock formation. The water falls from the middle of the rock wall, from a little hole almost on the top.
Buraco do Padre is an underground amphitheater 30 meters wide and 43 high. The waters came from the "Cerradinho" river, to fall in this spectacular view.
The name "Buraco do Padre" came from the Jesuits history in the "Campos Gerais" (the whole second plateau region's name). The jesuits used to came to the "Buraco do Padre" to meditate. The indians, observing the Jesuits, denominate it "Buraco do Padre" (Priest's hole)."
Best regards,
Zeca

Hi Jose,

A very spectacular landscape.Lighting and composition well managed. Great POV and deep wet greens around.

Regards, Petru

Hola Jose,
Should be not easy to manage bright light outside and darker inside the hole. Have to negosiate between this two extreme. Great view on waterfall but 'burned' on the gate.
Still a nice picture.

this is a beautiful photo and I can't find fault with it. The lighting is stunning, the composition great and the shutter speed is just right for the water. great shot.

Hello Jose
Such a pretty spot.
The colours and detail of the rocks and moss creates a tranquil scene.
Composition is excellent, especially the whole in the rock letting the sun
shine through. I wonder which direction the water flows to after the pool.

Nooosssa...fan-tás-ti-co. Esta é sem dúvida a melhor do buraco do religioso. Linda foto POV, luz...everything. What a wonderful place...parabéns Zeca. Foto de cartão postal. Braços.

You captured a really cool place, a very peaceful looking place. Well done Jose. :)

Jose

I have finally managed to look at this picture of a decent screen (my work laptop screen is useless for this kind of shot, it does not show enough of the details in darker areas.)

It is a lovely tranquil scene and you have captured it really well. Its a beautiful scene which I think you have captured to the best of your ability with the camera you have...

TFS
Emma
