Very nice capture Ina - I really like the way he is looking at you. The water looks ver dirty - almost like mud ( my first thought) so I do hope it was worth it for him to swim around there.

Hi Ina, I like this. It has a mysterious look about it. I like the swirls in the water and the details on the seals head are good, especially with it peering up at you. Lovely shot, well done.
Great shot, Ina!!! THe water looks almost solid. Incredible.
Very very nice.
Some time ago, a very long time ago, you asked whether chinchillas were extinct. They are not extinct, and at least in Chile, their populations are recovering after many many years of cruel hunting. It is no longer commercially attractive to catch them for their fur. The methods used to catch them were hideous: they would stick barbed wire into their caves and twirl it around until the barbs caught on to their fur, then they would pull them out and kill them. Awfull.
You can sometimes see them at sunrise and sunset near their caves, feeding on shrubs and grasses when you go climbing.
