No, this is not Valhalla nor Lord of the Rings. I believe many of you might be skeptical to believe this is true but so was I when I was there, my jaw dropped and I was constantly pinching myself. I was in my own dreams, I am a lover of mountains of any kind but this was almost too much to bear, perfect rugged scenery, with vertical cliffs hanging from the sky clouded in a white mix of menacing clouds and spectacular glaciers, all that above a perfectly turquoise heavenly blue lake with arctic temperatures. Its the same place where I shot the guanacos, a little more high up, all here in the almighty Cuernos del Paine range, in Chilean Patagonia. Splendid, isn’t it?

Yes, it looks great.
Mountains look superb and the water in FG makes the picture quite exceptional.
I like it,

Impressionante chaine de montagne, joli paysage et belle couleurs. TFS Didier.

Impressive view of these mountains ! Cliffs look very steep with sharp edges. Quite unusual with such beautiful water in FG. Wish I can go there someday. TFS !

This is what I call dangerous mountains Radu :-) Not easy ones for Sunday tourists ;-) Beautifull place!

Hi Radu,
Splendid is somewhat of an under statement. There are so many adjectives to describe his scene, but Awesome was my first thought. Gotta luv those American slang words.. I could say all the usual things that comprise a good photo, but I am just gonna sit and soak up the view for a while. SUPERB!

Excellent capture Radu. Composition and "technically" wise. ;-) Thanx for sharing!
Marhowie - Howard.

Radu, this is a fantastic landscape. Excellent capture with great colours and sharpness. Thanks for posting.

Very beautiful shot!
Wonderful landscape!

Boy...and I thought the US had some rugged moutntains! Some of those would be a real climbing challenge! Fascinating to have them so vertical right out of the water. Thanks for being a window on the world for us less traveled folks!

Colours: cool!
Composition: cool!
Sharpness: cool!
Wheather: cool!

Porcul s-a cam terminat mai Radule, doar ceva slanina pt la vara a mai ramas. In schimb recolta de palinca a depasit si recordurile de pe vremea lui Ceausescu!

Salutari, Petru

Very nice shot Radu,
Good detail, colours and sharpness. Composition and exposure are spot on. Good framing and POV. It looks a bit cold for me!

I'm a mountain fan too... and at the cuernos del paine it is difficult to take a bad picture!!
I was there in january and there was less snow, but the park is always great.
Beautiful photo! I like in particular the lake colour.
Thanks, enrico.

Radu , Hello , Magnificient work , extremely impressive landscapec and photo , TFS .

Hi Radu,
great landscape. beautiful composition with the waters that gives movement to the photo.
These are the places to visit; the places in which the mountains observe to you from high with challenge look.

Hi Radu,
With the glacial, green river in the foreground this image is pure advertising for Patagonia.
I add your "Poster" to my theme "High Altitude".
