[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The most of photos that I show here are taken on hilltops to species with hilltopping behaviour. Some "rare" species are easily founded in those places.

Hill-topping is a mate-location behaviour seen in many insects including butterflies, dragonflies, wasps beetles and flies. Whitin Diptera, some species of Tachinidae and Syrphidae show strong hilltopping behaviour.

Hello Carlos!
Very nice capture of very colourful fly species. I like a lot its spines, it looks really starnge :)
Bravo also for the note, it is short, but I do not remember aby note here in TN gallery which information about this (common but not really known among TN members) insect behaviour :>
Greetings from Poland,
Radomir

Hello Carlos,
a great picture of this particular fly.
Point of view is well selected and excellent.
Focus is precisely on the frontal parts!
Best wishes, Peter

Hola Carlos

mais uma foto incrivel e com muita nitidez mostrando ótimos detalhes deste inseto.
As cores estão perfeitas assim como a iluminação e neste caso vc conseguiu um bom POV, já que a mosca esta de frente..
