[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
There exist at least 40 species of "88" butterflies in the genera Diaethria and Callicore. These species resemble each other closely and separating can sometimes be difficult. However, the characteristic "88" pattern on the ventral hindwing serves to distinguish these butterflies from any other. Actually, without so much imagination you can find the nine digits (0-9) seeing these butterflies. They are distributed from Mexico to Argentina and appear to have a preference for montane habitats.

Hello Carlos!
Cute and lovely butterfly species, I like a lot its colouration! Its wings look like grafitti not natural mosaic :>

Hi Carlos,
Outstanding shot of this small but beautiful "88" butterfly. They looks so elegant and exclusive. Very impressive sharpness, colours, details and pose. The OOF BG sets up a fine tone too. Excellent DOF and POV with this diagonal composition making it look simply majestic. Thanks for sharing this fine image.

Beautifully sharp and detailed image with no graininess in the background due no doubt to the low ISO setting.

Hello Carlos,
Excellent exposure & color, nice details..
Really like the composition and blurred BG, your subject stands out very well in the frame :)

I cannot believe that this is for real!!! it looks like Tantric art from India. Thanks a lot for posting such incredible life forms! I have never seen anything like this.
