[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is my first entomological shot of 2009!
We are so lucky to have an eternal spring in my country and its posible to see these beautiful insects in january or july or any month.

I dont know what species is..but is the bigest Hemiptera I have ever seen...with aproximately 7cm long. It seems is an active hunter of other insects, I saw this when it was eating another insect (the black leg behind.

Hi Carlos,a very great macro, perfect under all corners of view, details and colors are fantastics, thanks to show us this beauty and best whishes to a great 2009,Luciano

An amazing creature, Carlos. Your picture of it is very sharp, crisp and colourful. Indeed, your country must be rich in wild life throughout the year.
I wonder if some specialist would be able to ID the insect for us.

Hola Carlos,
a nice picture of this alarmingly red coloured wheel bug. I think there is a second differently coloured
specimen to the left!? You show a sharp and detail-rich picture of the specimen. I found a similar
species of the family Reduviidae in Costa Rica which you can see here!

Best wishes, Peter

Hallo Carlos
What a lovely insect! The detail is just stunning and a real eye catcher. The colour and some of the features of this insect reminds me of a crayfish. There is hardly enough space on my screen to make it fit. The overall detail of this vividly coloured insect is greatly captured and your focus, composition and sharpness of the subject is super. A wonderful macro and a pleasure to look at. Well framed and pleasantly presented. Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards
Anna

beautiful capture , great details, colours and sharp,
septimiu
