Hallo Juan, it is not only a beautiful butterfly but also a beautiful picture of this species clearly presenting the iridescent blue colours. The sandy backgroung leaves the colours and outlines particularly brilliant.

Wow - what a wonderful butterfly Juan. Fantastic colours, great sharpness and POV. This is a very nice butterfly shot. I like it very much. Thank you for posting.

Hi Juan,
very unusual and very pretty species. Amazingly strong iridescent colours in perfect contrast to the pale and grey background.
Very well composed - the diagonal position makes well believe the butterfly is ready to take off in a second.
Very pretty contribution. Thank you! Best Regards,

Hi Juan!

You also caught beautifull color in this butterfly. Image is sharp and well exposed. The soft light creates no specular lights. The neutral BG amplify the colors. And I like the diagonal orientation of the insect.
Nice picture and TFS.

Hola Juan, que hermosa mariposa. Colores muy vivos y bien definidos. He notado que tienes muchas mariposas en tu galeria. Como haces para capturarlas? Algun horario en especial? Un saludo desde Bolivia, Gabriel

What a lovely specimen. First time seen for me. You migt try F8 rather than F4 in the future to give you more DOF. Still a nice shot none the les. Well done.

Hola Juan.
Sencillamente fantástica! Muy buenos detalles y colores. Gran toma. Felicitaciones.

amazing colours, TFS Ori

hello there, this is a very beautiful butterly and also a good photo and a rare species.inded a a good moment of nature

I was just looking at a book(The Rainforest by Thomas Marent. Splash page 210-211)This morning and within the interior of the pages the photographer had captured the same species while visiting Columbia. My opinion of this butterfly is highly admirable, the pattern simple but the color arrangment is spectacular. Well takened Juan.
Paul :)

Is this real??? It is like a dream... TFS

First time seeing this butterfly, seriously thought I had seen them all..nope..wow..this is sensational!

Very impressive shot Juan. It looks like an open flame with the red and hot blue. The colours are vibrant against the nice sand texture. I like how it's framed in a very nice environment. Good work! TFS Trevor
