Lepidoptera specie (Moth) SIZE: 1 inch (25 mm)

I dont know which specie it exactly is but I can tell something about the hairs and stings

The poisonous hairs or spins are hollow and connected to underlying poison glands. Contact with them causes a burning sensation and inflammation that can be as
painful as a bee sting. The irritation can last for a day or two and may be accompanied by nausea during the first few hours. Usually the site of contact reddens and swells much like a bee sting.

So watch out for these little creatures!! Hope you like it

Beautiful animal!
I like very much the colours!
Bye Tom

Chris, Superb shot of this colourful caterpillar. Your explanation of its danger if touched adds to it well.

Such good detail Chris and a most interesting subject.

Great work.

Dag Chris.

Hi Chris, excellent colours and sharpness, well done

What an intricately patterned fellow Chris. And what a harmful one too. It is nice and sharp and good colours too. Well done, thank you.

Hoi Chris, wat een gaaf beest. De belichting is wat uit balans maar de uniekheid van het objract maakt een hoop goed.
Fijne kerst. Groet Reina
