Those flies can be a real nuisance for a lone male lion wanting to take an afternoon nap in the sun.
The Ndutu area is part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area along the southern border of the Serengeti. It's a beautiful safari destination with vast open grassland, open woodland, lakes, marshes and some koppies and lots of wildlife.
