[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On my way to work I looked to the east to witness the sunrise since it was such a beautiful clear day. As the sun was nearing the horizon it displayed this nice coloumn of light - shooting straight into the sky! It was visible for maybe half an hour before the sky became to light to see it. This phenomenon ocurred the next two days as well.
I think it was very cool to have such a view befor going to work - it made the day a lot nicer from the start!

Hi Torbjorn,
Certainly this is a great way to begin a working day!
The column of light is so impressive, it seems like a giant reflector or something like this.
The color on the sky are great too.
I like the vertical composition made with the silhouettes of the mountains at down.

This is a fantastic shot! WOW!
I think this phenomenon is called a sun-pillar and Jay (Shoot_Score) has a couple of photos and notes about it too (if you're interested).
The composition you managed here is also terrific - simple but breathtakin!
the colors and tones everywhere are magnificent and the exposure is outstanding!
The framing goes well with it and they all make a wonderful post!

Nice capture you have here. I guess it's probably cause by the reflection of the sun in thin layer of mist or ice crystals?
Nice outline of the mountains in front of this beautiful morning sky.
