[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Asclepias curassavica is without a doubt the best milkweed species for greenhouse culture or the home garden. It attracts Monarch Butterflies and is tolerant to occasional over-watering. It is native to tropical America.
This herbaceous plant, is native to tropical South America and is a very common perennial roadside weed in Suriname. It has white milky poisonous sap and grows up to a height of about 4'.
It has oblanceolate leaves and beautiful scarlet/orange/yellow flowers.
Silkweed blooms year around in the tropics and sub-tropics.
Sunset flower is a favorite among butterflies, hummingbirds, wasps and beetles as a nectar source.
They are a food source for Monarch butterfly larvae.
The plant is used medicinally in the tropics for the anodyne properties of its roots. It has also been used in scrofula with great succes.
The seeds, in spindle shaped pods, have a crown of silky hairs and blow into the wind like miniature parachutes.
The information above can be found here and here .

I´ve started a travelogue of my trip to ibiuna in trekearth .

Nice rich colours against a good dark OOF BG. There is too much background above the flower. I would cropped some from the top. The frame doesn't enhance the image at all, therefore I would have not used it. Have uploaded a workshop to show you my personal preference. The image itself is very nice to view. TFS.

Wow factor:***

Great composition, I just find the big leaf in BG a bit distracting.
Well done.

Eh... Eh... Olha aqui o entendido...
