So finally it appears that spring really is coming to Lake Erie! For the past week the ice has been melting off the Lake as Temperatures have climbed to 60F for a few days and the sun has been abundant. Depending on the wind direction sometimes the ice is gone in front of our house and sometimes its jammed packed. The Lake its 57 miles wide across to the USA and 125 Miles long from end to end. Its a beautiful place to live and experience!

Hi Donna

Another wonderful landscape shot from you!
I really like the way you composed this shot! You gave a lot of attention to the FG (with all it's intereating and different shaped plants) and also the fact that the horizion is clearly off-centered.
The details are very nice, clear and sharp and the colors are lovely.
The nice small waves and rocks emerging from the water are also great and add to the overall look of the scene.

Bravo and TFS

Hello Donna

What a nice scenario you have posted here. I really like the soft colours - makes it look almost like a watercolour painting. The high horizon works perfect here as the sky does not contribute very much to the picture. The dominating foreground is very good with the different plants. Very good balance with the big stones in the upprright side. All over a very pleasant picture and calm scenario to look at.

Well done

Well this is a goregous composition giving this shot great depth. The colors and focus are excellent what more could a girl what? Great work Donna.

Hello Donna,
Nice late winter scenery!
When the ice break is usually a sure sign spring is right around the corner...
Wonderful colours thanks to the special light, pleasant composition with strong foreground interest!
Pablo -

Fantástico panorama.
Las aguas con sus diferentes tonos, el cielo a lo lejos y el horizonte que no distingue entre cielo y mar forman una imagen de lo más agradable.
Encantador paisaje.
Saludos Donna, JL.
