Pieris napi Green-veined White
Flight period: February-November. Range: All regions, but scarce in steppes in the interior. Habitat: Woodland openings and margins, often near streams. Comments: Pieris napi is a "superspecies" with many forms and subspecies throughout Eurasia and North America. The subspecies pseudorapae that lives in Turkey is listed by Koçak and Kemal as a distinct species, Pieris pseudorapae (False Cabbage White/Yalancı Beyaz Melek).
