Hi all,

Shuttling between Mumbai and Bangalore in last two weeks has made me really very tired and I ‘m literally having a blurred vision right now, but as I was taking rest I suddenly realized that the weather has turned pleasant and it started raining, being a guy who loves rains and greenery I found some energy to post this one shot some time back. It is till raining in Bangalore as I’m posting this. Hopefully I will make a trip to Omkar after a long time this Saturday to witness what change this rain has brought!

This was shot at Lalbagh and I’m not sure about the ID, but you can see this insect wiping the water off his back.

Hope you enjoy this refreshing picture.

Hi Goutham
Fantastic shot. One can feel the rain, the green and can understand how this smart chap here must be feeling like, on a wet day.
For the warm Delhi night, this one is a pleasant reminder of rain far away.
Nicely saturated and refreshing.

Hola Goutham,
Excelente foto, por sus detalles y su color. Gran POV

Hi Goutham,
A very good macro!
Excellent all clear details found on the insect.
It's amazing the surface tension on the water, it can be seen clearly around the leaf edge and on the raindrops.
I like so much the composition made with the circular leaves.
Congratulations and thanks for share it.
My best regards,

Namaste Goutham,
it's a wonderful shot, I love the sharpness, I even can see the drops on his little body so clear and sharp. Very fresh post, thanks and bye

Wonderful shot and it is actually not wiping. It is challanging you and asking you scratch his back for taking the such a lovely shot without his persmission. Boss keep shooting for the sake of students like me who gets really inspired with such shots.
Guru simply great.

This is a lovely, fine and pin sharp macro shot! The detail is amazing. Sharpness on the insect is fantastic and light and colour througout is superb. Wonderful rain drops.

Hello Goutham
What a wonderful post after great
raining in Bangalore,Excellent compo and
sharpness, Fantastic BG, Welldone.

Good Luck

The leaf and the drops are certainly looking refreshing. You have captured the details nicely including a big drop between the antennae of the bug. Looks like it is scratching its back to figure out how to get rid of this.

I love the composition created by those water drops on the lily pad, Goutham. I can see why you like the rain. The colors are beautiful and the details on the bug are sharp. Excellent exposure. There is some noise in the water part between the lily pads. The edges there are strange. I can't quite figure it out.
Anyway a great shot. I like it very much. TFS. : )

The beetle belongs to family Chrysomelidae, subfamily Donaciinae, genus Donacia or Plateumaris, eventually some similar - there may be some genera in your area I'm not aware of.
Excellent light and colours. Very nice composition with the floating leaves.
Best greetings,

Hi Goutham,
