This capture from my archives was taken as dawns early light eluminates the horizon and the moonlight eluminates the snow on the hill in the foreground. This shot was taken from the Ressor Lake view point in the Cypress Hills. This posting is for Jay (ShootScore)
who always says I should do more landscapes. For more on the Cypress Hills go to this link it's a magical

Hi Rick, I love this photo, you have a perfect pov on the horizon there, the mood of the shot jumps out at you. Beautiful colours and tones, great contrast - I wish I was there, I can hear the early morning sounds emerging.

Hi Rick,

yep, you should definitely do more landscapes! This is great, thre shapes of the clouds add a nice texture against the early morning blue of the sky. This is my favourite time of day and you;ve caught it briliantly. Very well done.

Hi Rick,
A wonderful early morning photo, where the sky with its dark clouds and colored horizon make the view spectacular. I think that a choise of either showing more details on the FG or none at all sould do the photo good. Now I do see some details, but it is hard to determine what I see.

P.S. I might need to change the last part of the critique, since I am looking at on my screen at work that does show photos a tad darker than they are.

Hi Rick

Really evocative shot here. Simple yet striking. I love the rich tones.

Hello Rick, :D

This is a beautiful moody landscape, wow I just love the feel of this. I can almost feel myself there (if I went and sat in my freezer that would really do the trick :) It's a great shot, love the Horizon and the splitting differences of light. Very well composed, take care sweetie.

Hi Rick
What a great sunrise! The dark clouds against the early blue sky creates interesting textures. I like the way the sky goes from dark blue to orange-red at the horizon. The lone star is a bonus. Nicely done.
