Son zamanlarda ayri bir tur olarak kabul edilen Uzunkulaklı Yarasa (Plecotus teneriffae) veya Plecotus teneriffae kolombatovici. Oldukca uzun kulakları gövde uzunluğuna yakındır.

The Balkan Long-eared Bat (Plecotus teneriffae or Plecotus teneriffae kolombatovici) was accepted recently as a separate species. Some authors accept P. kolombatovici as species name. Most authors consider that the latter is a synonym and a subspecies of P. teneriffae. The species ranges from Spain throughout the Balkans and Anatolia to the Levant.
Its ears are almost equal to body lenght.

Hello Ahmet,
a nice capture of the bat, something we don't see too often here on TN. The size of the ears is well displayed.

Hi Ahmet,

I like the way the bat seem like it's crawling out between two rocks. great focus, good lighting and great POV. TFS

Hi Ahmet,
Quiet unique mammals with long ear, it should be mainly use to navigate using ultra sonic sound, the extra-ordinary ear size is another question to solved,I guess it is because their environment (e.g. noise, surrounded rock impedance, specific preys, etc,) so they need bigger and I believe more sensitive ''receiver''. The shot also extraordinary, it is not easy to set up camera and spot the bat in the darkness, but you manage it pretty well, Excellent pov with upside-down position of the bat, really like the detail shows in it ear, thanks for the usefull notes also

Hello Ahmet,
A great portrait of this little fellow!
Amazing... The flash supplies light for sharp fine details and good colour reproduction...
Image is well composed, in particular I like to see some of the surroundings!
