[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is a flowering shrub found at high altitudes in the southern part of Sichuan Province, just next to Tibet. This is a remote area which has just had an airport built to save a 15 hour drive from Chengdu.
Located in a torrid zone, Panzhihua has an annual average temperature of 20 C. Even in the coldest winter, a sweater is to stay warm enough. The subtropical climate has turned the city into a large "hothouse" where many precious animals and plants co-exist.

Hello Murray!
Very beautiful shrub! Great red colors and interesting comment. A little bit of overexposure in the upper left corner. Maybe a crop improves.

Hello Murray,
Colourful capture, very eye-catching!
Awesome repetition effect in the flowers, which are captured with fine details...
Good side light and strong colours!
