I think that in this situation flash will make better result giving you faster shutter speed and better with details. Interesting species. You have lot of documentary shot from many parts of the world and this is your way to explore.
You got pretty close to such a wild animal! Not just because of the 200 mm lense, but I can even see you stand in the reflection in his eyes! A 'wild' look in his eyes, but that seems to be about it with this one :-)

Unusual monkey and a good picture in the circumstances. I do not think the side, back lighting has done any favours.
