[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is my second attempt at capturing a hedgerow bird. I noticed this sparrow in a nearby field. Heaven only knows where the food came from! There are a lot of nests in the wall of a nearby barn and I suspect this parent was obtaining foof for newly hatched chicks.
pp cropped and framed. I did not sharpen as I messed up on my last upload |

Hi Bev,
It looks as though you were zoomed in here, and not able to hold the camera quite still enough. I rarely use a tripod myself, but when using zoom I try to rest the camera on a fence or rock or something.
I have a Panasonic Lumix too (FZ5) and only use the optical zoom (up to 12x)
I find the digital zoom just isn't clear enough so I hardly ever use it.
Cheers, Steve
