Early in the morning, this blue tiger decided to emerge from its pupa...

The Blue Tiger (Tirumala limniace) is a butterfly found in India that belongs to the Crows and Tigers, that is, the Danaid group of the Brush-footed butterflies family. This butterfly shows gregarious migratory behaviour in southern India.

The butterfly larva generally feed on plants of Family Asclepiadaceae.

This species migrates extensively during the Monsoons in southern India. The migratory populations have been observed to be nearly entirely consisting of males.

How do you do it? Either you have a very sharp eye or you can get flora and fauna in Bangalore to pose for you!

Takes a very steady hand indeed to snap a demanding shot like this. The kind of hand a dentist or a neurosurgeon might have.

Uma this is nearly a nice picture. The frame is slightly seem to be tight but the composition is making the compensation for it. TFS Ganesh
